Losing full control after turning off via Casambi app (casDMX)

After a few driver code charges they hit all the fittings working color charge using casDMX to reach the DMX control box. What’s happening now is that when the power is applied they have full color control, but when off is selected from the Casambi app, they don’t get full control of the devices, they should be color, full power, etc, the fittings are going to a low output and not changing.

The supplier has done some testing and said the only way they can replicate is to remove DMX control and reapply with the power is still active.

Is this an issue you have seen before and is it a Casambi, casDMX fault or something else we need to look at?

The basic answer is, we have no intelligence inside to make any decisions to create output intensities. We are a simple Casambi-to-DMX bridge that does what Casambi tells us to do. If something is not starting up right or is not responding correctly to commands, it is the Casambi network that is in charge and that most likely is the culprit.

Our job inside the casDMX is to generate DMX signaling. If you see issues there, that could be us. Remember however that our firmware is over 2 years old without an update (as of November 2023). It is always helpful to check for firmware updates, though we always try to ship with the latest variant.
